The end of this 4th Sun cycle in the calendar system seems to be pegged to the start of a period in which the winter solstice sun conjuncts part of the Great Rift running along the equator of the milky way. The Maya considered this Dark Rift of cosmic dust to be a place symbolic of energetic changes and cultural rebirth. The Maya prophecies are made up of carvings, writings and aural records. They tell us of a time when humanity will face challenges yet also will have to opportunity to re-discover an ancient way of living harmoniously with the forces of the cosmos.
Thousands of minds across the planet have felt a call to engage with this subject and carefully analyse the available data. Such matters as possible consciousness shift and rumours of doomsday prophecy are now popular discussions on-line and elsewhere. If you have not yet encountered any of the 2012 information related to the fascinating aspects of this particular year this should serve as an introduction. If you are already well versed then it should at least serve as a stimulus for our debate here.
With Hollywood 2012 films set to assail the public consciousness in 2009 soon nobody will not of encountered this general subject. Though I expect little of such movie adaptations from the body of available 2012 research material they will reach far more people than the books and sites of actual 2012 researchers. Hopefully some will find the subject via this route and stay to learn the reality of it.
This introduction to the subject will have to be necessarily brief in scope, as there is simply far too much for any one person to convey or for that matter absorb, in a single sitting. That said I would like to try and introduce the terms that will likely dominate much of the debate in this forum. Some topics are perhaps more reality based than others are.
On 21-12-2012 the winter solstice will occur at the time 11:11GMT whilst the sun will rise into a position of the sky in which it will appear to just touch part of the Dark Rift. This will be the first time that this has happened for somewhere between 25,600 to 25,800 years or one complete Great Year of Precession of the equinox.
Depending on your view of the data the precession cycle is either caused by the Moon’s gravity pulling on the earth and causing a wobble, or it is the result of the sun’s orbit around a binary twin. Such a twin is mathematically probable based on the preponderance of binary systems in our universe and would answer many questions regarding NASA data. For as to have not conclusively discovered the location of such an object would mean it is likely either a dust shrouded Brown Dwarf or a black hole formed from a collapsed Neutron star.
The Maya Long Count tracks a period of 25,627 years over five 13 Baktun long Count cycles. This is eerily near to modern estimates for a precession taking 25,771 years. The speed of this very process has been recorded as changing over the last few decades of research in such a way as to indicate the Maya count may be closer to the truth than our modern theory.
There are two major wings to the greater 2012 debate including but reaching beyond the Maya and their systems of wisdom. On the one hand we have the investigation of current physical change events and projected occurrences in the future. On the other hand we have the investigation of esoteric information and how this period dives into the inner world of our own shared consciousness and spiritual inclinations. These are both valid aspects of the debate and often intertwine at multiple levels.
The major topics for physical concerns include the possibilities of: pole shifts, crust displacement, cosmic particle storms, solar outbursts, weather pattern shifts, mini ice age, comet impacts, interactions with cosmic bodies, galactic centre energy waves, geo-magnetic changes, Schumann resonance rises, alien visitations, changes on other planets, mass warfare and a nefarious endgame plot from a secretive global elite.
The major topics for the non-physical pondering include; entering a 5th dimension, metaphysical ascension, mass enlightenment, returning gods or higher beings, returning ancient wisdom, reincarnated ancient souls, gifted children, widespread psychic gifts, increasing supernatural phenomena, feelings of oneness, time shifting pace and a sense of urgency toward greater self enlightenment for the good of all beings.
No one person has all the answers or indeed has asked all the possible questions. This is a place for us to get involved with doing both. We each have something unique to offer towards the solving of the 2012 puzzles. Even after 20 years of investigating this and many other relevant subjects I realise my knowledge is at times like a child’s compared with that known to our ancient forbears. Let us all work together to comprehend all the possibilities that lay in our path. Let us also work to support each other in our own personal journeys of self-purification so that we are ready for any and all eventualities.
